It's a New School Year!

Open Positions

Every August, Brooke is the first district back to school in the state. Our longer school year is essential to our strong student results and our commitment to teacher professional development.

What's New?

As we prepared for this school year, Brooke strengthened our commitment to becoming an anti-racist organization by creating a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) vision statement, and a three-year strategic plan. This plan was crafted by Brooke’s Chief People Officer, drawing on insights from her staff listening tours and the expertise of our Leaders of Color group, which leveraged the knowledge of Brooke’s BIPOC leadership.

We Spent the Summer

Welcoming New Teachers

Starting on July 24th, 57 new staff, including 24 new Associate Teachers, took part in trainings on what makes Brooke different, including fostering an anti-racist culture, maintaining high expectations for students, and student-centered teaching methods.

Training All Staff

All staff returned to school on August 1st to prepare for the 2024-2025 academic year. Along with professional development, we kicked off by honoring our longest-tenure staff, including folks who celebrated their ten and twenty year Brooke anniversaries!
