Multilingual Learner Coordinator - ESL Teacher (Immediate Opening)

What is the Multilingual Learner Coordinator Role?

As a multilingual coordinator at Brooke Charter Schools, (formerly referred to as an English Language Learner Coordinator) you will coordinate ESL services and provide direct instruction to small groups of students. You will develop English language proficiency goals that are clear and measurable and track student success in meeting these goals as well as assist coordinating and administering state mandated and ML identification assessments. The role also includes coordinating redesignation assessments, monitoring EML (Exiting Multilingual Learner) students, and keeping ML records in compliance with DESE regulations. As a critical member of the instructional team, you will work in collaboration with teachers and share best practices to ensure high quality sheltered content instruction is provided.

This is a part-time role.

Salaries are competitive with local districts, starting at $69k. Commensurate with experience. Licensed ML coordinators will also earn an additional $3,300 stipend for teaching a high-need subject area.

Recruitment & Development Specialist Intern (Undergraduate Student)

What is the Recruitment & Development Specialist Intern Role?

Brooke Charter Schools is seeking a highly motivated college student to join our Recruitment and Development team as an intern this summer! This role offers the opportunity to develop professional skills and gain hands-on experience in recruitment, communications, and fundraising while working directly within a school environment. The intern will report to Brooke’s Director of Development and Communications Manager.

This full-time position (35-40 hrs/wk) runs between mid-May and late August (ideal start date: May 19th, with flexibility for earlier/later availability).

Responsibilities:

The intern’s responsibilities will include:

  • Organizing candidate data and outreach materials
  • Researching fundraising prospects and donor engagement opportunities
  • Creating  and updating content on Brooke’s website, social media pages, and external-facing collateral
  • Helping plan and attend New Teacher Orientation (NTO) and end-of-year events
  • Participating in training sessions, school visits, and coffee chats with staff
  • Supporting general team operations, including data management and event logistics

Requirements:

  • Current undergraduate student
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing social media platforms
  • Interest in/passion for education and/or the nonprofit sector
  • Experience with Google Sheets, Excel, or other data management tools
  • Familiarity with Canva or other design tools
  • Some event planning experience

Associate Teacher Corps - K-12 - 2025-2026

Who are We?

What is the Associate Teacher Role? 

The Associate Teacher Program is a year-long teacher preparation program to support early educators in developing the skills necessary to become an experienced educator in one year. Brooke Charter Schools strives to be an anti-racist organization; we fulfill our school's mission by diversifying the educator workforce through the Associate Teacher Program. The Associate Teacher program has three core components: 

  • One-to-one Mentoring
    • Every Associate Teacher is paired with a mentor. Mentors are experienced teacher leaders in their school community. 
    • Mentor Teachers provide Associate Teachers with targeted feedback to support growth in teaching practices through regular observations, coaching conversations, and formal monthly evaluations.
  • Professional Development
    • Associates participate in over 300 hours of weekly intensive professional development (PD).
    • PD topics include anti-racist classroom management practices, developing standard-based lesson plans, how to center student voice at the core of the learning experience, etc.
  • Gradual Release Teaching Model
    • Associates practice skills from targeted professional development and take on more teaching components.
    • Associates teach full days in their mentor's classroom and are granted opportunities to teach across their K-8th or 9th-12 campus.

Director of College Access & Post-Secondary Success

Role Overview

Brooke Charter Schools is seeking a Director of the College and Post-Secondary Department, a crucial leadership role responsible for ensuring that all Brooke students are well-prepared for life after high school, whether that means attending college, entering the workforce, or pursuing other post-secondary opportunities. This role requires the ability to collaborate with school leadership to  develop and drive  a research-based comprehensive vision for both 9-12 College counseling as well as the Post secondary alumni program. The Director will manage staff effectively, and drive forward Brooke’s mission. The Director will develop and oversee college readiness programs, and manage a team of five to provide individualized support for all current students 9-12 and Brooke alumni. Additionally, the Director and the team will build strong partnerships with colleges, universities, and employers to create pathways for student success.

Key Responsibilities

College & Career Programming

  • Develop and implement a research-based readiness program for grades 9-12.
  • Organize college visits, career fairs, and financial aid workshops.
  • Engage families through parent meetings and info sessions.

Student Advising & Support

  • Provide 1:1 and group counseling on post-secondary pathways.
  • Guide students and families through applications and financial aid.
  • Track student outcomes and engage alumni in persistence support.

Partnerships & Opportunities

  • Build relationships with colleges, trade schools, and industry partners.
  • Establish internships, mentorships, and dual enrollment programs.

This position reports to the Brooke High School Principal  Salary will range from $112K - $169,000 depending upon years of experience.

You crave feedback, think deeply about instruction, and collaborate with colleagues in order to meet the needs of every student. To that end, you will take part in regular data meetings, engage in approximately 20 administrative observations, and participate in nearly 300 hours of professional development over the course of the school year. 

Hours for this role are 7:45 am - 4:00 pm. You will teach multiple sections of computer science daily and also serve as an advisor; advisors mentor students, communicate with families, and share information about colleges and character education. You may choose to lead an after-school club or coach a sport for an additional stipend.  

Salaries are competitive with local districts, starting at $72k. Commensurate with experience. Computer Science teachers will also earn an additional $16,500 stipend for teaching a high-need subject area, making the starting salary for Computer Science teachers approximately $88k.

In this role, you also implement comprehensive behavior support plans, serve as the IEP team chair for a small caseload, and coordinate related services. Salaries are based on years of teaching experience. Those who join our team with a license or degree in special education earn salaries of approximately $72k. Student support coordinators will also earn an additional $3,300 stipend for teaching a high-need subject area.

Special Education Teacher (K-8) 2025-2026

Brooke Charter Schools is a network of five public charter schools, serving grades K-12 in Mattapan, Roslindale, and East Boston. At Brooke, we coach and invest in our teachers so that they can help our students achieve at the highest levels and graduate from college. What is the Special Education Teacher Role?

As a special education teacher (referred to as a Student Support Coordinator at Brooke), you build strong relationships with students in order to push them to be their best selves both academically and personally. You collaborate with colleagues in order to meet the needs of every student by ensuring accommodations are met and developing intervention plans. To that end, you will take part in IEP and 504 meetings, and participate in nearly 300 hours of professional development over the course of the school year. 

You are a critical member of our instructional team, teaching daily support classes in math, science, life skills, and/or literacy. You may also oversee the drafting, implementation, and maintenance of IEPs and 504 plans, participate in child study team meetings.. 

Salaries are based on years of teaching experience. Those who join our team with a license or degree in special education earn salaries of approximately $69k. Student support coordinators will also earn an additional $3,300 stipend for teaching a high-need subject area.

Speech and Language Pathologist 2025-2026

What is the Speech and Language Pathologist Role?

As the speech and language pathologist it at Brooke, you provide individual and small group speech/language services, screen and evaluate students for the presence of speech/language disorders, and collaborate with parents and teachers, engaging them as partners in the student’s therapeutic intervention. You also generate, maintain, track, and update all required student records including but not limited to: speech/language evaluation reports, IEP goals and objectives, IEP progress notes, etc

Salaries are competitive with local districts, starting at $72k. Commensurate with experience. Speech language pathologists will also earn an additional $3,300 stipend for working in a high-need field.
