Ms. Kimberly Steadman

Network Co-Director

B.A., Harvard College; J.D., Harvard Law School; M.Ed., Harvard Graduate School of Education
Kimberly Steadman joined Brooke in 2004 as a math teacher and professional development coordinator. Since then, Ms. Steadman founded Brooke's first elementary school and co-led the expansion of Brooke from one campus to five. Ms. Steadman is currently serving as network Co-Director and holds responsibility for all academic aspects of Brooke. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Steadman taught 4th grade in DC Public Schools and 5th grade in Chelsea Public Schools.

Mr. Jon Clark

Network Co-Director

B.A., Oberlin College
Jon Clark helped found Brooke Roslindale in 2002 and served as the founding middle school principal. He served in that role until 2011, when he transitioned to the role of Co-Director for the Brooke network. Prior to Brooke, he was a a founding teacher and math department chair at Boston Collegiate Charter School, and a 1992 corps member with Teach for America In New Orleans.

Mrs. Suki Cintron

Chief People Officer

B.A., University of Massachusetts Amherst; M. Ed, Boston University
Suki Cintron joined the Brooke network staff in 2023 as our Chief People Officer. Before joining Brooke, Mrs. Cintron worked for over 24 years in a variety of educational roles across the country, including as a Director of Student Services and School Culture in Albany NY, Chief Operating Officer of University Prep in Rochester, and most recently as Regional Superintendent of Operations at Uncommon Schools- Roxbury Prep in Boston.

Mr. Mark Loring

Chief Operating Officer

B.S., Appalachian State University; MEd, Harvard Graduate School of Education
Mark Loring joined the Brooke network staff in 2017 as the Director of Network Operations. Mr. Loring is currently serving as Chief Operating Officer for the network. Before joining Brooke, Mr. Loring worked in a variety of educational roles across the country, including as a 4th grade teacher in the Louisiana Delta, a home school teacher in Redmond, WA, and as a Director of Operations in Lawrence, MA.

Ms. Cristie McGrath

Chief of Student Support

B.A., Arizona State University; M.S., Pepperdine University
Cristie McGrath joined Brooke in 2005 as the Dean of Student Life at Brooke Roslindale. Since then, Ms. McGrath has served as the Director of Student Support. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. McGrath taught math at a middle school within the Boston Public School system and was a special education teacher at Toll Middle School in Glendale, CA.

Ms. Allison Friedmann

Director of Science

B.A., Williams College; M.A.T., National Louis University
Allison Friedmann joined Brooke in 2004, as a middle school science teacher in Roslindale. Since then, Ms. Friedmann has taught middle school humanities and third grade. Ms. Friedmann is currently serving as the science curriculum lead for the network. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Friedmann taught science at a high school in Chicago through Teach for America and taught middle school math and science at Uphams Corner Charter School.

Mr. David Jordan

Director of Development

B.A., Colgate University
David Jordan joined Brooke in 2019 as a Senior Development Associate. He is now the Director of Development for the Brooke Charter Schools Network Team. Before coming to Brooke, Mr. Jordan worked as a Project Assistant on the production of digital fundraising and advocacy campaigns for non-profits at Sanky Communications.

Ms. Braelan Martin

Director of Special Programs

B.A., Wheelock College; M.Ed., University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign; MBA, Western Governers University
Braelan Martin joined Brooke in March of 2020, as a Student Support Coordinator at Brooke Roslindale. She now serves as the Director of Special Programs for the Network. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Martin worked for 3 years as a K-2nd grade special education teacher in a substantially separate classroom for students with social and emotional challenges.

Ms. Katie Megrian

Director of English Language Arts

B.A., Bates College; M.Ed., Bank Street College of Education
Katie Megrian joined Brooke in 2006 as a kindergarten teacher at Brooke Roslindale. Since then, Ms. Megrian served as a second, fourth, and fifth grade teacher at Brooke Roslindale and founding K-8 principal of Brooke Mattapan. Ms. Megrian is currently serving as the Director of English Language Arts for the network. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Megrian was a 2004 Teach for America Corps Member, where she taught Middle School in the South Bronx, New York.

Ms. Dorice Moise

Director of Talent & Recruitment

B.A., Boston College; Ed.M., Harvard Graduate School of Education; M.A., Ed.S, Tufts University
Dorice Moise joined Brooke in 2016 as the School Psychologist at Brooke Roslindale, where she was also an Associate Teacher from 2008-2010. Ms. Moise has acted as an Assistant Principal at Brooke High School after serving as the founding School Psychologist at Brooke High. She now serves as The Director of Talent & Recruitment on The Brooke Network Team Prior to returning to Brooke in 2016, she worked at UP Academy Holland and UP Academy Boston, as a School Psychologist and Special Education Coordinator.

Mr. Ivan Rudnicki

Director of Computer Science

B.A., Harvard University
Ivan Rudnicki joined Brooke in 2015 as the network's founding computer science department chair. Since that time, Mr. Rudnicki has overseen the development of Brooke's elementary and middle school computer science curriculum, led the growth of a four-member computer science department at Brooke High and Eighth Grade Academy, and served as a coach of the high school's FIRST robotics team. Before coming to Brooke, Mr. Rudnicki co-founded and served as the associate director of a non-profit organization dedicated to offering technology and engineering enrichment programs for Boston-area youth.

Mr. Doug Shaughnessy

Director of Data

BSBA, Northeastern University
Doug Shaughnessy joined Brooke in 2020 as Director of Data for the Brooke Network Team. Before coming to Brooke, Mr. Shaughnessy worked in project management at Clean Harbors Environmental Services and corporate finance at GE Aviation and Keurig.

Ms. Dareon Stacker

Director of the Associate Teacher Program

B.A., Denison University; M.A., Northeastern University
Dareon Stacker joined Brooke's Network Team as the Director of the Associate Teacher Program in 2023. She previously was the Middle School Assistant Principal at Brooke Mattapan. Ms. Stacker started at Brooke Roslindale as an Associate Teacher in 2015, has taught sixth grade Math and Science at Brooke's Roslindale and Mattapan campuses, and worked as a Mentor Teacher. Before Brooke, Ms. Stacker worked with the Dudley Promise Corps, Generation Teach, and Breakthrough Collaborative New Orleans.

Mr. Raul Ripoll Vera

Director of Finance and Operations

B.S. Universidad Abierta Intercamerina; M.S. Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires 
Raul Ripoll Vera joined Brooke in 2018 as the Finance & Operations Associate Manager on the Brooke Charter Schools Network Team. He now serves as the Director of Finance and Operations. Before coming to Brooke, Raul worked in Finance and Operations in different networks of Chilean Charter Schools.

Ms. Christine Davis

Accounting and Payroll Manager

B.S. and M.S., Emmanuel College
Christine Davis joined Brooke in 2017 as the Accounting and Payroll Manager on the Brooke Charter Schools Finance Team. Before coming to Brooke, Christine worked for Children's Services of Roxbury for 16 years in Non-Profit Finance Administration.

Ms. Elaine Morgan

Human Resources Manager and Title IX Coordinator

B.A., Northeastern University
Elaine Morgan joined Brooke in 2006 as a Finance Assistant. Since then Elaine has worn many hats in the Human Resources (HR) and Finance Departments. Before coming to Brooke, Elaine worked in HR for a Technology Company and raised two beautiful daughters.

Ms. Vonnie Orellana

Communications Manager

B.A., Emmanuel College
Vonnie Orellana joined Brooke in 2022 as the Digital Media and Communications Coordinator on the Brooke Network Team. She now serves as the Communications Manager on the Brooke Network team. Before coming to Brooke, Vonnie attended Emmanuel College where she ran the HUELLAS (Helping Unite Emmanuel Latinos Lead & Achieve Success) organization and worked in the Information Technology Department.

Mr. Chuck Peters

Facilities Manager

Tewksbury High School
Mr. Peters joined the Brooke staff in 2005 as the building manager, supporting the building’s expansion into a full middle school and then the addition of the elementary school. Prior to coming to Brooke, Mr. Peters worked at Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Brighton as its building manager and for the Wingate nursing homes.

Ms. Heaven Aguirre Aldana

Finance and Operations Coordinator

B.S., University of Massachusetts Boston; M.S., University of Massachusetts Boston
Heaven Aguirre Aldana joined Brooke in 2022 as an Office Coordinator at Brooke East Boston. She now serves as the Finance and Operations Coordinator. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Aguirre Aldana was working at Massachusetts General Hospital as a BFT Administrator.

Ms. Jayne Fritz

Data and Enrollment Coordinator

B.S, University of Massachusetts Amherst, M.A, University of Massachusetts Amherst
Jayne Fritz joined Brooke in 2023 as the Data and Enrollment Coordinator. Prior to Brooke, Jayne was a preschool special education teaching assistant in Needham and Athol-Royalston Public School Districts and directed a Youth Choral Group.

Ms. Trelani Law

Accounts Payable Coordinator

A.S., Bunker Hill Community College
Trelani Law joined Brooke in 2012 as Finance Associate for Network. She manages receipts, invoices, deposits, checks and purchase orders. Before coming to Brooke, she worked at a daycare for 12 years.

Mr. Jorge Ortiz

Development and Communications Intern

B.S. Degree Candidate, Stonehill College
Jorge Ortiz joined Brooke in 2024 as an Development and Communications Intern on the Brooke Charter Schools Network Team. Mr. Ortiz is heavily involved in his community at Stonehill College, acting as a mentor for incoming first generation students; he helped them navigate the complexities of transitioning from high school to college as first generation students. 

Ms. Kristin Bergstrom

ELA Curator

B.A., Tulane University; Ms.Ed., University of Kansas
Kristin Bergstrom joined Brooke in 2013 as a founding second grade teacher for the Brooke East Boston team. Since then, Ms. Bergstrom taught second grade at Brooke for a total of five years and has moved up to join the third grade team. She was named a Mentor Teacher in 2016, and has served in that capacity in both second and third grade since. She now acts as a Elementary ELA Curator on The Brooke Network Team. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Bergstrom founded KIPP Central City Primary in New Orleans, LA. There she taught kindergarten, first, and third grade over the course of her five years and participated in the KIPP Teacher Leader Program. She is also an alumnus of TeachNOLA, a division of The New Teacher Project (TNTP).

Ms. Heidi Deck

Math Curator

B.S., Vanderbilt University, M.Ed., Vanderbilt University
Heidi Deck joined Brooke in 2014 as a second grade teacher at Brooke East Boston. Since then, she founded the fourth grade team at Brooke East Boston and taught fourth grade for three years. She completed an instructional fellowship during the 2017 - 2018 school year. Ms. Deck has also served as the assistant principal for third through fifth grade at Brooke East Boston. She is now a Math Curator for the Network Team. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Deck had five years of teaching experience including third grade, special education, and ELL teacher leader at Fulton Elementary in Aurora, Colorado.

Ms. Audrey Koble

ELA Curator

B.A. and M.Ed., University of Minnesota - Twin Cities
Audrey Koble joined Brooke in 2019, as a Sixth Grade English Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher at Brooke Roslindale. She later became an Eighth Grade Teacher at Brooke. She now serves on The Brooke Network Team as a Middle School ELA Curator. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Koble was a high school English teacher in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Ms. Elizabeth Mondragón

ELA Curator

M.A., Charles Sposato Graduate School of Education; B.A. Davidson College
Elizabeth Mondragón joined Brooke in 2021 as a kindergarten teacher at Brooke Mattapan. She now serves as an Elementary ELA Curator on The Brooke Network Team. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Mondragón taught first grade for 5 years at Match Community Day and second grade in Lawrence Public Schools.

Ms. Kindred Obas

ELA Curator

B.A., Wellesley College; M.A., Harvard Graduate School of Education
Kindred Obas joined Brooke in July of 2020 as an Associate Teacher at Brooke Roslindale. She taught second grade at Brooke Roslindale, and has taught third grade there. She now serves as an Elementary ELA Curator. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Obas taught high school English for the MIT/Wellesley Upward Bound Program.

Ms. Tara Chalifour

Math Curator

B.A., Colby College
Tara Chalifour joined Brooke in 2017 as a 7th and 8th grade math teacher. Ms. Chalifour is currently serving as a 7th grade math and science teacher at Brooke Roslindale. Before coming to Brooke, Ms. Chalifour was a Dean of Curriculum and Instruction and a 5th grade math teacher at Roxbury Prep and was a 6th grade math teacher at Match Charter School.
